• Meet at the covered picnic area by the day use parking lot.

• We will stick to the flatter, more accessible trails along the river and towards the interpretive centre.

• Bring comfortable shoes, a jacket, water and a snack.

• Dogs & kids are welcome. Due to the sensitive nature of the salmon spawning cycle, dogs must be kept on leash and out of the river.

A Rank & File Union Perspective on the Impact of AI on Workers

This workshop will be an opportunity to consider the actual and potential impacts of AI on workers. As facilitator, I will draw on what I have learned and experienced chairing a committee of rank and file members of my union for the past year. Our group has been tasked with understanding, educating members about, and responding to the proposed and potential future adoption of AI in our specific workplace. (Trust me, it’s a place you know, probably visit, and may have an opinion about AI use in!) There will be opportunities to share your experiences too. 

AI was not used in the writing of this blurb and I attempted to avoid it in the creation of the promotional materials and workshop, but it’s very hard to guarantee it wasn’t integrated into any of the tools we used to promote the event. 

Fall update

Solidarity FC is taking a break for the fall season. However, we are still meeting Sunday afternoons (2PM) at the turf field at GNS for an informal practice. If you are looking to improve your skills or catch a friendly game, join the soccer chat. We are looking at putting a side together in the New Year.
